M&M imported over 68,000 cy of material to balance the site.
More than 223,000 tons of select fill was required in the building
footprint alone. Recycling operations were able to crush and
screen existing pavement and slabs to keep imported fill at
a minimum. Overtime was used to keep up with the 125 loads of
material that were received per day. In addition to the asphalt,
M&M also prepped 120,000 sf of concrete. |

Kelly Maintenance Hanger faced the uncontrollable weather from
the 2002 flood which flooded the entire site. Nonetheless, M&M
used its diversity to assist with delays. Demolition crews demolished
concrete paving and buildings, while site crews tackled the
building pads. Even though the project was design-build, with
plans constantly changing, and the weather tremendously slowing
down the project, M&M used change orders and some overtime
to keep everything running smooth. |
